Arts and Culture Scholarship
This program is for eligible Members or Members’ children who want to start or continue
their education in the study of Scottish or Celtic Arts, Culture and History; this may
include areas of study such as piping, drumming, dance, other music, language, history,
art, re-enacting skills, and their cultural context. This is not an exhaustive or exclusive
list and other related courses of study may be considered for support. Followup
questions and additional information may be requested by the Scholarship Committee.
Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. All information received is considered
confidential and is reviewed only by the Scholarship Committee.
The due date for the application starts on July 1 and ends on August 31 (postmark or
email date). Applications received on earlier dates do not get priority; the early start
date is to encourage applicants to start planning further in advance. All applications
received in the July – August time period will be reviewed equally after August 31.
Applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt of their application.
Upon Completion please send application one of two ways: 1) Scan as pdf format and
send via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or 2) Send a hard copy to Peggy
Johnston, Scholarship Committee Chair, PO Box 18971, Oakland, CA 94619. If you are
sending the application in hard copy format you MUST ALSO send an email to
email@example.com letting us know that you have applied via regular mail.
